Daily (06.08.2018): French day-ahead power price tumbled by 20% on Friday, following the drop in carbon and coal markets.

Oil prices edged lower on Friday, as increased concerns over China’s denial to admit the sanctions against Iranian crude supported the fears over falling demand on U.S supplies. Consequently, Brent crude slipped by 0.3% to $73.21 a barrel. WTI crude dropped by 0.7% to $68.49 a barrel.

Gas transmission via Nord Stream Pipeline has resumed

All planned maintenance works on the Nord Stream twin gas pipelines have been successfully concluded within the scheduled time frame. Gas transmission resumed today and the full capacity of both pipelines is now available again.

Anglo American completes sale of South African thermal coal mine

A subsidiary of the diversified miner, Anglo American Inyosi Coal, sold its 73% in the New Largo coal project which included the New Largo thermal coal project and Old New Largo closed colliery, to New Largo Coal Proprietary.

Daily (03.08.2018): WTI crude increased by almost 2% on Thursday due to Cushing storage decline

Oil prices rose on Thursday, as the OPEC oversupplied stocks returned to normal state and Cushing inventories are down at the lowest level since 2014. Brent crude gained 1.5% to reach $73.45 a barrel. WTI crude increased by 1.9% to $68.96 a barrel.
