EDF EN gets into German market through Futuren wind park takeover

EDF EN is planning a 320 million euro ($350 million) purchase of Futuren, a French wind developer, from a group of investment funds in order to repower old wind parks and get into the German market, as stated on Tuesday by Antoine Cahuzac, the chief of EDF Energies Nouvelles (EN).

Norway doubles Barents Sea oil and gas resource estimates

Norway’s oil regulator, Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD), announced new forecasts on Tuesday, concerning the unfound oil and gas resources in the Arctic Barents Sea area, doubling them at approximately 17.6 billion barrels.
