Last week, the subsidiary of Polish government run company Polska Grupa Energetyczna (PGE EJ1) declared that it envisages building and running Poland's first nuclear power plant in Lubiatowo-Kopalino and Żarnowiec. The work started last month.

ABB and Prysmiam win IFA2 Interconnection Contracts
National Grid UK and France’s Réseau de Transport d’Electricité (RTE) have awarded contracts with a combined value of around EUR 620 million for the supply of cables and converter stations for the IFA2 interconnector, to Swiss-based player ABB and cable specialist Prysmian Group.

Mitsubishi Corporation joined the largest battery storage project in Germany
Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) announced that it will be working through Enspire ME, a 50:50 joint venture formed from MC and Eneco (Netherlands based company), to build a 48MW/50MWh battery in Schleswig-Holstein in northern Germany based on a large-scale battery energy storage system (BESS).
