Daily: European power prices settle up on colder weather and higher carbon

Brent crude futures increased on Friday, recording a 3 percent gain for the week, supported by global economic recovery data and heavy trading of the spread with U.S. oil futures. Meanwhile, Brent March crude gained $1.21, or 1.05 percent, to settle at $116.76 a barrel, having traded from $115.40 to $117.07.

Daily: UK prompt gas slightly increases on colder weather forecast, lower Norwegian imports

Brent crude oil futures climbed, while U.S. crude traded lower on Thursday in heavy spread trading that boosted Brent’s premium to its U.S. counterpart. Brent March crude gained 65 cents, or 0.57 percent, to settle at $115.55 a barrel, having traded from $114.28 to $115.76. Meanwhile, U.S. March crude slipped 45 cents, or 0.46 percent, to settle at $97.49 a barrel, having traded from $96.84 to $98.04.
