The Czech Republic to considerably increase the share of nuclear power production

Brent and U.S. crude oil futures declined on Monday, after settling higher the two previous sessions, dragged down by worries about U.S. fiscal problems, euro zone debt and weak Japanese GDP data showing positive signs of improving Chinese oil demand and by geopolitical fears caused by Middle East violence.

IEA: Renewable power to surpass coal by 2035

The International Energy Agency (IEA) has recently released a new report according to which the renewable energy will surpass coal, becoming the main generator of the world's electricity by 2035. It sees great potential for wind farms, solar farms and hydroelectric dams that become increasingly competitive with traditional energy sources, a level close by that of coal, said the Paris-based IEA agency that advises 28 nations on energy policy in its annual outlook.
