Daily: European power spot prices plunge on weak demand ahead All Saints holiday

Brent crude futures declined on Wednesday in choppy trading dragged down by worries about demand in hit euro-zone economies and in the United States after Hurricane Sandy. Brent December dropped 38 cents, or 0.35 percent, to settle at $108.70 a barrel, having traded from $108.52 to $109.80.

Gazprom unveils a major gas project to conquer Asia

Germany adds about 1 GW of new PV installations, despite tariff cuts

The Federal Network Agency of Germany has released the latest data regarding the photovoltaic installations for the month of September, according to which newly installed photovoltaic systems reached 980.83 MW in September, almost three times as much as was added in August (329 MW).

Daily: Brent crude oil ends lower in light volume trading

Brent crude futures declined yesterday in light volume trading as investors expected weaker demand for fuel in the United States after Hurricane Sandy. Brent crude for December delivery dropped 36 cents, or 0.33 percent, to settle at $109.08 a barrel, having traded from $108.65 to $110.10.

Novatek in talks with Germany and other EU countries

Novatek OAO, Russia's largest independent gas producer is in talks to enlarge its gas trading operations in Germany and other European countries, becoming the first Russian company to face Gazprom’s export monopoly. Novatek has already signed a contract with German utility EnBW to provide with 2 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year from October 2012 for a 10 years period.
