TGC Renewables to build the largest solar farm in UK

TGC Renewables, one of the most important renewable energy developers in the UK, has announced that they will commence now the construction of the 6.2 MW solar PV project, at Marley Thatch in South Devon. This will be the largest solar PV project and once completed the solar farm would provide enough electricity to power about 2,500 homes, TGC Renewables said.

Europe: Higher prices of natural gas increase demand for coal

Due to higher prices of natural gas, Europe imports of coal from the U.S. have nearly doubled. U.S. coal exports have beaten a new record and reached 66.2 million tons, increasing by about 24% in the first six months of this year. More than half of the U.S. coal exports were directed to Europe.
