Brent crude increased towards $111 on Friday, extending gains from a 1-1/2 month low reached in the previous session as Libya, Africa's third biggest producer and OPEC member has increased its oil production after last year’s revolution and on lower North Sea production which fed supply fears.

British utility Centrica has announced on Thursday that it has signed a 3 years gas supply contract with Gazprom Marketing & Trading, a UK registered wholly-owned subsidiary of Russian energy giant Gazprom. Under the deal, Gazprom will supply 2.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas starting from 2014.
