Daily: Brent prices down on weak global economy
Oil dropped below $115 a barrel on weak global economy which pondered on the demand outlook. Brent crude was traded at $114.63, down by 38 cents a barrel by 08:38 GMT; U.S. crude plunged 58 cents to $95.69.

Carbon emissions to considerably increase in the UK since 2009
The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) reported that carbon emissions increased in 97%, or 394 out of 406, of local authorities (LA) across the UK in 2010.

UK: SSE customers to see their energy bills up 9%
SSE, UK energy utility, announced that from mid-October electricity and gas bills will increase by 9%, blaming higher energy network costs, regulation and higher commodity prices. Around half of the cost of SSE's energy bills is determined by wholesale levels.

The new Italian legislation on non-EU biodiesel imports
Law No.134 of August 7, 2012, ratifying the Decree Law No. 83 of June 22, 2012 on the “urgent measures for growth of the country” published in the “Gazzetta Ufficiale” on August 11, brings changes to the system concerning import of biofuels produced in countries outside the European Union.
