Vestas to build its first V100 turbines in Italy

Vestas will build its first project consisting of 11 units of the V100 wind turbine in Tuscany, for the Santa Luce Wind Power Plant. The project is the first on Italian soil to use the V100 and includes delivery, transportation, installation and commissioning of turbines.

Daily: Brent traded down on US possible release of oil reserves

Brent crude declined below 114 dollars per barrel after US announced that it is considering the release of oil reserves. Brent crude eased 1.40 dollars to a low of 113.87 dollars a barrel before recovering to 114 dollars at 10:08 GMT. The contract for delivery in September ended at the highest level since May 2, while U.S. crude has dropped 40 cents to 95.10 dollars.

In 2009 Bulgartransgaz EAD and S.N.T.G.N. Transgaz S.A. signed a Memorandum of agreement according to which the two countries should cooperate in the construction of the Gas Interconnection Bulgaria – Romania Project.

U.S. carbon emissions decreased significantly on the shale gas boom

As power generators switch from coal to cheap gas, the U.S. carbon emissions registered a big drop, hitting its lowest level in 20 years. The introduction of new, efficient gas-fired capacity and a recent decline in the price of natural gas has helped boost natural gas share from 14 percent in 2000 to 24 % in 2011.

Daily: Brent up on hopes for more stimulus measures from central banks

Crude oil stayed near three-month highs on Thursday, on worries over possible disruptions of supplies from the Middle East and a major decrease in U.S. oil stocks. Brent crude climbed by more than a third since end of June on worries over Iran’s nuclear programme and on investors’ hope for more stimulus measures from central banks. Brent crude was unchanged at 116 dollars per barrel by 11:07 GMT, while U.S. crude traded up 15 cents to 94.48 dollars per barrel.
