Brent oil has gained about 20% since mid-December on concern over cuts in Iranian supply, and set an all-time high in euros. In dollars, today's price around 125 USD is still below last April's 127 USD high, let alone the record peak of $147 scaled in 2008.

Crude oil futures traded under $125 a barrel on Monday, declining after a hike of around 1.5% in the previous session due to fresh tensions about eurozone financial stability which returned at the forefront. Brent crude oil futures were traded down 23 cents to $124.90 a barrel by 09:07 GMT, while U.S. crude futures declined 57 cents at $106.30.
