China’s Ministry Industry and Information Technology said that it has set a target to cut photovoltaic solar power generating costs to 0.8 yuan ($0.13) per kilowatt hour (kWh) by 2015 and 0.6 yuan/kWh by 2020.

Daily – US crude adds to losses, Brent pares gains
U.S. crude oil futures decreased in post-settlement trading on Wednesday after industry data indicated an increase in U.S. crude stockpiles much more than expected previous week. By 21:35 GMT, U.S. WTi crude for April delivery traded at 105.91 dollars a barrel, losing 34 cents.

World wind capacity up 21 % to 238 GW
According to the new report released by Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC), the global wind energy sector saw installations up by 21% in 2011 compared to the previous year, with an additional 41 GW, bringing the total capacity to more than 238 GW.
