UK to face legal action from EU
The British Government could face legal action from European Union over intentions to cut feed-in tariffs for PV systems and introduce energy efficiency requirements on buildings seeking for incentives. The EU Energy Commissioner, Günther Oettinger, considers also that EU could take legal action against any state which weakened its policies threatening thus the achievement of green energy targets.

Iran discovers huge offshore gas field in Caspian Sea
Iran has discovered a huge gas field in the territorial waters of the Caspian Sea with a reserve of at least 50 trillion cubic feet, Iranian Oil Minister Rostam Qasemi announced on Sunday.

EIB accused of disadvantaging renewable energy in favor of fossil fuels
The European Investment Bank (EIB), the world's biggest lender to energy and climate action projects has been accused that it have doubled the funds given to fossil fuels between 2007 and 2010, while it has been allocated a slimmer support for the alternative energy.
