Daily – US crude ends down on liquidations of December contract

NYMEX crude oil futures decreased on Friday as investors liquidated the December contract before it expired at the close, continuing to go down for a second day in line after prices increased over 100 dollars of the midweek level. NYMEX crude for December delivery closed at 97.41 dollars a barrel.

E.ON to develop pilot hydrogen plant for storing wind power

E.ON is mulling over developing a pilot plant that will convert power generated from wind energy into hydrogen which could be stored in the gas grid system. More than 5 million euros would be invested by the company for the development of this innovative technology.

Daily – power down on higher output expected

NYMEX crude oil futures continued to go down more than 4 dollars on Thursday as investors booked profits after prices settled at five-month utmost level over 102 dollars a barrel in the last session. By 18:56 GMT, NYMEX crude for December delivery valued 89.66 dollars a barrel, losing 3.93 dollars after a trading range between 98.34 and 103.37 dollars.

Repsol - new good quality oil discovery in Brazil

Repsol Sinopec Brazil, together with Petrobras and BG Group have made a new oil discovery, Abarè well, in the Carioca area situated in block BM –S-9. First tests have encountered in the carbonate reservoirs, at a depth of 4,830 meters, the presence of good quality oil with a gravity of 28 degrees API.
