The Environment Agency has recently published the CRC Performance League Table (PLT) which sees participants ranking based on their early action metric scheme, absolute metric scheme and growth metric scheme and also if the participants are or not accredited to the Carbon Trust Standard. The scheme provides also individual participant scorecards.

Daily – gas prices jump to a one-week high level

U.S. and Brent crude oil futures increased less than expected on Tuesday after US industry data indicated a growth in domestic crude stocks previous week despite forecasts for a decrease in crude stocks. By 21:30 GMT, NYMEX crude for December delivery settled at 99.39 dollars a barrel, gaining 1.25 dollars, while ICE Brent crude for December delivery expired and traded at 112.39 dollars a barrel, up 50 cents after a trading range between 111.62 and 113.14 dollars.

Largest gas exporters to discuss over long-term contracts and fair gas prices

World’s largest gas exporters leaders, among which the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Algerian leader Abdelaziz Bouteflika and the head of Libya’s National Transitional Council, Mustafa Abdul Jalil, participated at their first summit on Tuesday in the capital of Qatar, Doha, two days after a ministerial meeting of the 12-nation Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) took place.

Daily – oil down on a sharp drop in eurozone industrial production

U.S. and Brent crude oil futures edged down on Monday as a sharp drop in the eurozone industrial production sparked worries that region could fall into a recession and stoked fears about global oil demand. NYMEX crude for December delivery valued 98.14 dollars a barrel, losing 85 cents or 0.86 percent after a trading range from 97.19 to 99.69 dollars. In London, ICE Brent crude for December delivery traded at 111.89 dollars a barrel, down 2.27 dollars after having traded between 111.32 and 114.83 dollars.

New solar PV tariffs in Germany

German Federal Network Agency has recently revealed new feed-in tariffs for solar PV power for 2012. The new once will be 15% lower than those in 2011 and were settled by the German Network Agency after analyzing the solar PV increase for the fiscal year through the third quarter of 2011.
