Scotland to allot 6 million dollars worth for renewables
As to contribute at the development of renewable projects, the Scottish Government will allot over 6 million dollars worth loan through the Community and Energy Renewable scheme. By putting into operation all the projects, with a total wind and hydropower capacity of 56 MW, Scotland will achieve its goal of 500 MW of green energy by 2020.

CO2 emissions reach a historical high of 5.8 % in 2010
Global carbon emissions saw a full fluctuation after the recession from 2009, soaring by 5.8 % in 2010, according a recent released report by the Netherlands Environmental Protection Agency.

Daily – higher than expected drop in U.S. crude inventories
Crude oil futures continued to increase on Wednesday on released report by the U.S. government about a drop in crude oil stockpiles previous week against expectations that would be higher. NYMEX crude for November delivery traded at 79.68 dollars a barrel, lifting 4.01 dollars after having traded from 76.94 to 79.79 dollars. By 14:42 GMT, ICE Brent crude for November delivery traded at 102.29 dollars a barrel, adding 2.50 dollars after a trading range between 100.66 and 102.56 dollars.

Japan to enact feed-in tariffs for renewable energy
In the wave of the nuclear disaster that occurred in Japan on March, 11, the government aimed renewable energy as an alternative clean energy generation. Japan’s Upper House of the Diet has approved feed-in tariffs that come into force as of July 1, 2012, under which utilities shall acquire power generated from renewable sources for a set price and period.
