The Italian energy group, Eni said on Thursday that it had signed an agreement to sell to Belgian operator Fluxys G its stakes in the gas pipelines Transitgas and TENP.

French nuclear power plants passed safety tests
According to the French energy utility EDF, all nuclear power plants from France has passed successfully the safety tests, the report being submitted to the country's nuclear regulator ASN. The move came in the wake of Fukushima nuclear accident.

Huge oil field in North Sea to be sold for $1.75 billion

Daily – Global Markets Plunge after Fed Decision
The dollar rallied to a seven-month high on the outlook of higher short-term interest rates after Federal Reserve’s decision to sell $400 billion of short-term Treasury bonds to buy longer-dated debt and offered a gloomy economic prospect. The announcement let down investors who had hoped for stronger stimulus measures, causing a drop in equities and commodity prices. European stock index futures plunged over 2.5% after a drop of over 4% on Asian exchanges, while gold lost 1% and copper reached nearby the day's low.

Syria: EU imposes embargo on oil export
EU government banned EU companies from new investments in Syrian oil industry on Wednesday, adding some entities and two individuals on the black list. The sanctions are also prohibiting Syrian oil exports to the United States and European Union.
