EIA raises 2011 natural gas production forecast
The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) in the recent released Short-Term Energy Outlook raised its forecast for domestic natural gas production for 2011, expecting total production to soar 6.4% from 2010 levels.

BP reveals £700 million oil project move
The energy major, BP announced that it has won a government approval to invest up to £700 million (USD 1.128 billion) in extracting oil from a North Sea reservoir, creating more than 1,000 jobs.

First Solar inked important agreement for 100MW modules supply
First Solar has inked an important agreement with Reliance Power and Jaisalmer, Indian solar project. Under the new agreement, First Solar will deliver 40 MW of thin film solar modules to Reliance Power by the end of the current year, while the rest 60 MW in 2012.
