The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced recently four additional Biomass Crop Assistance Program (BCAP) projects aimed to enlarge the availability of non-food crofs by using it in the production of liquid biofuels. The UDSA assigned up to $45 million for contracts that last less than five years and up to 15 years.

Crude oil futures increased in the post-settlement trading on Tuesday after released report by API about a surprise 5.2 million-barrel draw in the U.S. stockpiles previous week. NYMEX crude for September delivery traded at 81.75 dollars a barrel, up 44 cents after a trading range between 75.71 and 83.05 dollars. Meanwhile, by 20:00 GMT, ICE Brent crude for September delivery traded at 104.21 dollars a barrel, up 47 cents.

The giant Bergermeer gas storage project has been temporarily halted by the highest administrative court of the Netherlands on Monday, due to environmentalists and local residents’ worries that the process of injecting gas would cause tremors in the area.
