U.S. crude oil futures went up on Thursday in a choppy trading driving up by encouraging job data and uncertainty over the debt in the USA. U.S. crude for September delivery settled at 97.44 dollars a barrel, after a trading range between 96.51 and 98.01 dollars.

Eni to buy Vanttenfall’s Belgian operations

A recently research made by the specialists at the California Institute of Technology showed that the old design of wind farms needs to be remade as to use maximum efficiency that will lift the power output from the wind farms. The researchers underline that larger and taller wind turbines will increase the capacity of wind farms rather than large dimensions of wind farms.

British Gas reveals its profit for first half of 2011

British Gas, the owner of Centrica has disclosed its profits of £518 million in the first half of 2011, or almost £3 million per day, just weeks after announcing big price hikes by 18 % for domestic customers.
