U.S crude oil futures increased more than 4 dollars a barrel on Friday as U.S. economy data indicated a year-on-year growth of 3.2 percent in the fourth quarter of 2010. By 17:15 GMT, prices for March delivery increased by 3.75 dollars at 88.39 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, after having hit the utmost level of 89.73 dollars a barrel.

UK - leader in the offshore wind sector
The recently released report by the European Wind Energy Association has shown that UK is the leader in the offshore wind sector with a total installed capacity of 1,341 MW. UK is followed by the Denmark (854 MW), the Netherlands (249 MW), Belgium (195 MW) and Sweden (164 MW).

Exxon Mobil drills a record long well at Sakhalin-1, Russia
Exxon Neftegas, the subsidiary of Exxon Mobil Corporation announced that it has drilled an extended-reach (ERD) well with a world record length at the Sakhalin-1 Project in the Odoptu field, offshore Russia.

Ukraine and Azerbaijan sign an agreement on LNG cooperation
The Ukrainian and Azerbaijani governments have signed on Friday two documents: a memorandum which has the goal to organize the LNG supplies to Ukraine and a collaboration agreement in the domain of oil transportation through the territory of Ukraine.
