Oil eased from a 26-month high near $90 on Monday on a stronger dollar counterbalancing the upward trend due to cold weather. By 12:27 GMT, WTI crude fell 16 cents at $89.03, after being traded as high as $89.76 earlier in the session, the highest intraday since October 9, 2008, while Brent crude shed 9 cents to $91.33.

Conoco shows interest in Poland’s shale gas.
The third-biggest U.S. energy company, ConocoPhillips, along with the Lane Energy Poland, plan to drill a exploratory well for shale gas in the northern Poland, aside from the other two drilled this year by the Polish energy company.

Biggest U.S. solar plant completed by Sempra Generation.
The subsidiary of Sempra Energy, Sempra Generation, announced the completion of its 48-megawatt (MW) Copper Mountain Solar facility which is supposedly the largest photovoltaic plant in the United States.
