The Czech government proposed a 32% tax on carbon credits on Tuesday that power producers are set to receive in 2011 and 2012, in order to limit price hikes resulting from a solar energy boom.

Oil increased to a six-month high above $84 per barrel on Wednesday, after U.S. fuel inventories dropped. At 10:00 GMT, U.S. crude for December increased at $84.47per barrel, while ICE Brent climbed to $85.96 per barrel.

Gazprom increases daily gas production by 22%.
Oil production in Russia, hit a new record. Russia's oil production increased to 10.26 million barrels per day in October, beating the high of 10.16 million barrels per day in September.
