Catalonia plans to reach 62 GW of renewables under 2050 energy strategy
The Catalan government on Friday presented its 2050 energy road map, saying the region will need to install 12 GW of new renewables by 2030 and reach close to 62 GW of installed capacity by mid-century to achieve energy independence and a full decarbonisation of its electricity system.

EU eyes more Azeri gas amid high bills and tight Russian supplies

Daily (07.02.2022): German and French forward power contracts jumped by more than 4% on Friday, on record high CO2 prices and bullish gas markets
Crude oil prices ended higher on Friday, on worries about the continued Ukrainian crisis and insufficient production from OPEC members. Moreover, a winter storm that hit the US, impacting production and supply, also boosted prices. As such, Brent oil rose by 2.4% to $93.27 a barrel and WTI crude gained 2.3% at $92.31 a barrel.

Finland's new nuclear reactor pushed back by a month
Starting up electricity production at Finland's new Olkiluoto 3 nuclear reactor has been postponed to late February, operator Teollisuuden Voima (TVO) said in a statement late on Thursday.
