TotalEnergies to Build EV Charging Network in Antwerp

TotalEnergies SE TTE announced that it has received a contract from The City of Antwerp, Belgium to expand and further develop the latter’s public charging network for electric vehicles (EVs). Per the deal, TotalEnergies will use its expertise to expand the existing network of the city of Antwerp by installing new EV charge points by 2024, including high power charge.

Daily (02.09.2021): European carbon prices lost 1% on Wednesday, tracking a bearish energy complex

Crude oil prices diverged on Wednesday. The Brent benchmark lost nearly 2% at $71.59 a barrel, as OPEC+ members confirmed their strategy of increasing production by 400.000 bpd in October. WTI oil edged higher, as a weekly decrease in US crude stocks limited losses. As such, WTI edged 0.1% higher at $68.59 a barrel.

Large seismic campaign kicking off in Geneva, Switzerland

The State of Geneva and the Industrial Services of Geneva (SIG) have announced that they will conduct a prospecting campaign for the Geneva subsoil from September 13, 2021 for a period of approximately six weeks. This 3D geophysical measurement campaign will make it possible to precisely map the subsoil of the Geneva basin in order to locate the most favorable places for the exploitation of geothermal energy.
