EU auditors slam ‘politically driven’ 2030 hydrogen targets
In 2020, the EU adopted one of the world’s first hydrogen strategies. Later, when Russia attacked Ukraine in 2022, the bloc bet on the gaseous fuel to replace gas flows from the Kremlin, setting a target of 10 million tonnes of production and 10 million tonnes of imports by 2030.

Daily (17.07.2024) European spot electricity prices surged due to decreased wind energy generation.
Oil prices continued to decline on Tuesday, weak economic signals from China, the world's largest crude oil importer. Consequently, Brent crude decreased by just over 1.3% to end at $83.73 a barrel, while WTI crude fell by 1.4% to settle at $80.76 a barrel.
