EU might double renewables in the energy mix by 2030

The EU might double the volume of green energy in its energy mix, hitting a share of 34% by 2030, according to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), which mentions that this is possible with current technologies and would need an estimated investment of approximately �62 billion (�54.7 billion) per year.

Daily (21.02.2018): German spot electricity prices fell 4.7% on Tuesday due to a rise in wind power supply

Oil prices fell on Tuesday after a session of profit-taking and due to a stronger dollar. Brent crude lost 42 cents, or 0.6%, to end at $65.25 a barrel. WTI futures closed 1% down at $61.79 per barrel.

Daily (20.02.2018): Oil prices hit 2-week peak on Monday due to share market recovery and Middle East tensions

Oil prices surged on Monday to their peak level in around two weeks, backed by global equity market recovery and tensions in the Middle East. Brent crude added 83 cents, or 1.3%, to end at $65.67 a barrel. WTI futures rose by 1.2% to $62.39 per barrel.
