The 2030 climate and energy goals should be approved by all the European Union leaders by the end of October 2014, according to a draft document presented by Reuters. An agreement should be reached ahead of the September reunion in New York, which aims to encourage support among world leaders for the climate pact.

Brent crude oil prices climbed on Tuesday on violent rapports in Crimea, while the American benchmark skyrocketed to its highest level in a week on strong build in U.S. equities. Brent crude oil rose by 55 cents to settle at $106.79 per barrel, after touching a six-week low on Monday. Meanwhile, its equivalent WTI oil benchmark closed $1.62 higher at $99.70 per barrel.
