EU: 2030 climate goals to be agreed by October 2014
The 2030 climate and energy goals should be approved by all the European Union leaders by the end of October 2014, according to a draft document presented by Reuters. An agreement should be reached ahead of the September reunion in New York, which aims to encourage support among world leaders for the climate pact.

Italy: SNAM ready to export gas to Eastern Europe
Italy-based SNAM, one of Europe’s major gas transport companies, is prepared to convey imported gas to Eastern Europe starting from 2015 due to a new gas stream infrastructure, taking into consideration that Russian gas supplies to Europe are being threatened by the increasing crisis over Ukraine.

Daily: British gas prices drop on Norwegian overabundant supplies
Brent crude oil futures dropped on Wednesday on fading concerns that international sanctions over Russia will have an impact on oil supplies, while U.S. crude oil boosted ahead of the contract's expiration and on stockpiles draw at the oil hub in Cushing, Oklahoma.

Daily: Crude oil prices soar across both continents on strong equities, Ukraine unrest
Brent crude oil prices climbed on Tuesday on violent rapports in Crimea, while the American benchmark skyrocketed to its highest level in a week on strong build in U.S. equities. Brent crude oil rose by 55 cents to settle at $106.79 per barrel, after touching a six-week low on Monday. Meanwhile, its equivalent WTI oil benchmark closed $1.62 higher at $99.70 per barrel.
