Total’s Manager Director stated on Tuesday that the French oil firm will keep on investing in Russia, in spite of the tensions between Ukraine and the Russian President. According to the company, the liquefied gas project in the Yamal Peninsula is not at risk.

EU urged by thirteen ministers to approve 2030 green energy goals
The European Union has been urged by thirteen ministers on Monday to reach an accord till the end of March on the most important aspects of 2030 environment and energy policy or it risks discouraging significant energy investments and pushing back efforts to obtain a global agreement on climate change.

Latvia delays deregulation of the electricity market until 2015
The ruling coalition in Latvia decided to put off the liberalization of the power market until the elections, in order to have more time to set up a scheme of refund for poorer residents who are trying to find money to pay for increasing energy bills.

Daily: Crude oil prices soar to five-month highs amid escalating tension in Ukraine
Crude oil prices surged by more than $2 a barrel on Monday to hit the highest level since September on escalating tensions between Ukraine and Russia which shook oil markets. Ukraine mobilized its army reserves as Russia seized control of the Black Sea region of Crimea.
