Gazprom earnings for 2012 down 10%

Russian energy giant Gazprom, the world’s biggest natural gas producer, reported a 10% drop in its earnings amid lower gas sales. Profits for 2012 amounted to 38.17 billion dollars, compared to 42.2 billion dollars in 2011.

EU launches another fair-trade probe into Chinese solar glass imports

EU announced the latest of a sequence of probes into Chinese solar imports. China is accused of selling solar panel components to European clients at prices below its fair market price, causing material damage to the EU solar glass industry , the European Commission said.
