Daily (30.07.2021): British gas prices surged to record highs on Thursday as supply picture in Europe remains tight

Crude oil prices continued to increase on Thursday, marking another settlement at the highest in over two weeks after U.S. government data revealed a weekly drawdown in domestic crude, gasoline and distillate inventories. Hence, Brent crude soared by 1.8% to settle at $76.05 a barrel. U.S. WTI crude increased by 1.7% to close at $73.62 a barrel.

Daily (29.07.2021): UK Gas prices on the forward curve hit record highs over 100p/th on Wednesday, tracking higher oil and carbon markets

Oil prices strengthened slightly on Wednesday, following a drop in US crude reserves. Gains, however, were limited by continued worries over the Covid pandemic. Brent oil edged 0.4% higher to $74.74 a barrel and WTI crude increased by 1% to $72.39 a barrel.
