Oil prices fell slightly on Wednesday, as escalating tensions in the Middle East were offset by the US Federal Reserve’s decision to cut interest rates by 50 basis points. As a result, Brent crude closed at $73.65 per barrel, while WTI crude settled at $70.91 per barrel.
