Baltic states seek to decouple grid from Russia

Lithuania to decide on withdrawal from Russia-Baltic power treaty by Aug. 6
Lithuania will make a decision on whether to withdraw from a treaty governing the common power grid of Russia, Belarus and the three Baltic States by Aug. 6, based on a review of studies into the potential impact, its energy minister said on Monday.

Russia says to fulfil contractual gas supply obligations amid Belarus threat
Russia will continue to meet its contractual gas supply obligations with its European customers, the Kremlin said Nov. 12, after Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko hinted Nov. 11 that Minsk could consider blocking the transit of Russian gas to Europe.

Daily (12.11.2021): British gas prices increased sharply on Thursday as Belarusian threat to stop flows to Europe worsened the supply squeeze
Oil prices fluctuated in a choppy trading on Thursday, ultimately increasing modestly after U.S. inflation data sent bond yields and the dollar higher. Hence, Brent crude futures rose by 0.3% to close at $82.87 a barrel. At the same time, U.S. WTI crude ended at $81.59 a barrel, posting a 0.3% gain day-on-day.
