Novatek calls for more state support for LNG project since China negotiations tumble
Novatek, Russia's second major gas producer which is under U.S. sanctions, is demanding the government for 150 billion roubles ($3.67 billion) in support after fighting to obtain funds from Chinese banks, as published in the Kommersant newspaper on Friday.

Tougher sanctions: Oil giant Rosneft receives a major blow from U.S.
The U.S. has unveiled a new row of sanctions on Russia concerning the troubles in the Ukraine, this time hitting the Russian oil giant Rosneft, its second major gas producer Novatek and its third largest bank Gazprombank. These are the most austere U.S. sanction yet imposed on Russia.

Gazprom division and Novatek sign agreement on Yamal gas supply
Gazprom's trading division GMT signed an agreement on Friday with Russia's second-major gas producer Novatek to purchase 3 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas per year from the Yamal project.

Italian Eni sells its 29% stake in Russian gas venture
Italian energy giant Eni has announced on Wednesday that it had decided to sell its 29 percent stake in Russian natural gas producer SeverEnergia to Yamal Development. Yamal Development is a 50/50 Joint Venture between Novatek and Gazprom Neft.
