UK onshore, offshore wind subsidies slashed in favor of marine energy
The British government envisages cutting onshore and offshore wind subsidies from 1 Renewable Obligation Certificate (ROC) per MWh to 0.9 ROC/MWh and from 2 to 1.9 ROCs/ MWh respectively, while it will boost the support for wave and tidal technologies.

European interconnected offshore grid to be built

Iberdrola submits plans for 400 MW offshore wind farm
German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency has received plans from Iberdrola for the development of a 400 MW project off the Baltic coast, which was acquired from Ventotec in 2010.

OSPRAG summit highlights the oil spill prevention in UK
Oil & Gas UK, a representative organization for the country's offshore oil and gas industry will organize a summit in Aberdeen on September 21st, called UK Oil Spill Prevention and Response Group (OSPRAG), which will provide a comprehensive overview of the joint approach taken by the industry and its regulators to further improve the UK’s prevention of and response to a major well control incident.
