Eni’s stake in GreenStream pipeline cut to 50%

The oil and gas most important company in Italy, Eni, has decided to cut its participation from 75% to 50% in the company GreenStream BV which manages a pipeline transporting gas from Libya to Italy, according to the officials of both societies.

Solar electricity could reach 22 percent of global power supply by 2050

France and Italy impose carbon tariffs

French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi asked the European Union to impose carbon tariffs on the countries which are not part of a global agreement to reduce greenhouse gases, an idea which was not approved by other EU members.
