Tax rebates for natural gas imports in China
China will offer a tax rebate for its growing imports of natural gas, as well as for piped gas from Central Asia and seaborne shipments of LNG. The rebates will be in force from 2011 to 2020 and will be applied in case of higher costs of imports than the domestic wholesale prices.

China Industrial Waste Management Company increased its profit in Q2 2011
The largest industrial solid waste recycling and environmental protection engineering company announced a double increase in profit in the second quarter of 2011 from 4.9 million dollars to 8.3 million dollars for the same period last year. Meanwhile, gross profit rose by 41.2 percent to 4.3 million dollars from 3.1 million dollars in the same period in the previous year.

GDF Suez is near to ink a deal in which China Investment Corp. (CIC) would take a 30% stake in the French energy company's exploration and production business for as much as €3billion ($4.3bn).

U.S. crude oil futures rebounded on Wednesday after API data indicated a more-than-expected fall in domestic crude inventories during the previous week, while Brent prices were almost steady after the news of latest interest rate raise in China and a downgrade of Portugal’s credit rating against the outlook for higher energy demand in the second half of 2011.

China to boost its wind power industry to 30 GW by 2020
China plans to increase its installed offshore wind power capacity to 5 GW by 2015 and to 30 GW by 2020, according to news agency Xinhua, citing National Energy Administration. China seeks to complete a public tender for the second half of the 2012, which will take place in the first half of 2012.
