Poland to raise cap on power prices, cut subsidies costs
The maximum power price for Polish households will be set at 500 zlotys ($123) per megawatt-hour (MWh) for the second half of 2024, according to a draft bill posted on the government's website late on Tuesday, up from 412 zlotys per MWh currently.

Daily (16.04.2024): Day ahead power contracts rocketed on Monday amid low renewables
Oil prices fell slightly on Monday as the Iranian attack on Israel appeared to be less destructive than anticipated. Brent crude decreased by 0.4% to $90.10 a barrel, while WTI crude experienced a 0.3% drop to settle at $85.41 a barrel.

Daily (15.04.2024): Carbon prices surpassed the 70 EUR/tonne mark on Friday
Oil prices rose on Friday to their highest level in more than five months, boosted by the prospect of an Iranian retaliation against Israel and the possibility of a disruption in the supply of black gold. Brent crude increased by 1% to $90.45 a barrel, while WTI crude experienced a similar 1% rise to $85.66 a barrel.

On Thursday, oil prices retreated amid reports of rising US weekly inventories and higher US inflation. Brent crude dropped by 1% to $89.74 a barrel, while WTI crude experienced a similar 1% decrease to $85.02 a barrel.
