Oil was down at $82 per barrel on Thursday, because of slight slowing in Chinese economic growth. At 12:09 GMT, U.S. crude for December delivery decreased at $82.20 per barrel, after rising almost 3% on Wednesday. ICE Brent dropped at $83.54 per barrel.

Statoil’s initial public offer is rising above $725 million

The initial public offer, for Statoil's filling stations unit, was fully covered, as expected, in the upper half of the price range on Wednesday, according to officials from Norwegian oil firm.

Oil was up above $80 per barrel on Wednesday, supported by a weaker dollar. At 11:04 GMT, U.S. crude for November, which expires later on Wednesday, increased at $80.40 per barrel, while ICE Brent crude climbed $1.07 arriving at $82.17 per barrel.

Denmark's DUC registered increases in oil production capacities

Danish Underground Consortium's (DUC) oil production capacities were up by 29% in September after shutting down, in August, all the operations for 7 days because of maintenance works.

Oil was down on Tuesday, due to strength dollar, comparing to yesterday’s gain when it climbed 2.25%, the biggest percentage gain in two weeks. At 10:34 GMT, U.S. crude for November dropped $0.53 arriving at $82.55 per barrel, while ICE Brent for December decreased at $83.76 per barrel.
