Oil prices declined for the week but were flat on Friday due to a stronger dollar and worries that a slowing economy would limit demand. Thus, the price of Brent crude oil ended up at $96.72 a barrel. At the same time, WTI crude decreased slightly by 0.3% to $90.77.

Daily (12.08.2022): EUAs soared to a six-week high on Thursday as energy markets continued to be robust and prices continued to set records
Oil prices rose on Thursday as a result of an increase in the International Energy Agency's forecast for this year's growth in oil demand as some consumers switch to oil due to rising natural gas prices. Consequently, WTI crude jumped by 2.6% to $94.34 a barrel and Brent crude increased by 2.3% to settle at $99.60 a barrel.

Daily (10.08.2022): EUAs expiring in December 2022 surged to a four-week high on Tuesday
The news that some oil supplies on the Russia-to-Europe Druzhba pipeline that crosses through Ukraine had been stopped combined with worries that a slowing economy could cut demand, resulted in a modest decline in oil prices on Tuesday. As such, Brent crude oil price settled 0.4% lower at $96.31, while WTI crude ended 0.3% down to settle at $90.50 a barrel.

Daily (29.07.2022): EUAs soared on Thursday, as the market prepares for a month of tight auctions
Crude oil prices were volatile on Thursday, buoyed by supply concerns ahead of the meeting between OPEC and its allies. However, gains were limited by global economy recession fears. Thus, Brent crude rose by 0.5% to settle at $107.14 a barrel and WTI crude decreased by 0.9% to $96.42 per barrel.

Daily (21.07.2022): EUAs experienced their largest daily decline in six weeks on Wednesday
On Wednesday, crude oil prices traded slightly down, as official US crude inventory data indicated low gasoline demand. Thus, Brent crude ended 0.4% lower at $106.92 a barrel, while WTI decreased by 4.2% to $99.88 a barrel.
