Oil prices weakened on Wednesday, reflecting an unexpected build in U.S. crude inventories, in contrast to analysts' forecasts. As a result, Brent crude retreated by 0.4% to settle slightly above $86 a barrel, while WTI crude settled at $81.35 a barrel, down 0.3% day-on-day.

Daily (27.03.2024): European Cal’25 power contracts lost ground on Tuesday amid bearish gas and carbon prices
On Tuesday, oil prices were rather stable to bearish, driven by a sharp price decline in refined products, following the restart of refineries in the United States after a maintenance period. Brent crude decreased by 1% to $86.25 a barrel, while WTI Crude slipped by 0.4% to $81.62 a barrel.

Daily (26.03.2024): Carbon prices hit 2-month highs on Monday due to bullish gas prices

Daily (25.03.2024): Forward gas prices soared by about 5% on Friday, boosted by supply concerns amid intensified geopolitical risks
Oil prices finished slightly down on Friday, hampered by Gaza ceasefire hopes as well as a stronger dollar. Hence, Brent crude edged 0.4% lower at $85.43 a barrel, while WTI crude stood at $80.63 a barrel, down 0.5% day-on-day.

Romania expects €5.5bn price tag and 2025 final investment decision for small modular reactor
