Swedish energy company Vattenfall and transmission system operator (TSO) TenneT have signed an agreement for the construction of offshore grid connection for the 760MW Dutch offshore wind farms Hollandse Kust (Zuid) 3 and 4 to be located in the North Sea.

TenneT to invest up to €5bn a year
Dutch/German transmission system operator TenneT expects to increase its investment level to €4bn to €5bn annually in the coming years, as a result of the phase out of coal and nuclear power plants and the growth of offshore wind energy.

TenneT unveils tender for two offshore wind connections in Netherlands
TenneT - leading European electricity transmission system operator (TSO), with activities in the Netherlands and in Germany is looking for potential bidders for offshore wind connections at two zones off the Netherlands. The offshore network is going to have substations connected by 66kV wiring, with the wind farms also delivering power at 66kV.

Dutch and Danish grid operators to create an offshore power hub in North Sea
