China Industrial Waste Management Company increased its profit in Q2 2011

The largest industrial solid waste recycling and environmental protection engineering company announced a double increase in profit in the second quarter of 2011 from 4.9 million dollars to 8.3 million dollars for the same period last year. Meanwhile, gross profit rose by 41.2 percent to 4.3 million dollars from 3.1 million dollars in the same period in the previous year.

GM inked an agreement with A123 for EV batteries

General Motors (GM) recently announced that it signed a contract with A123 Systems for the production of batteries aimed to be used in the next generation of GM’s electric cars. A123 is a developer and manufacturer of lithium ion batteries and systems. Under the signed agreement, the company will produce fully integrated electronic components.

Vestas received 202 MW order from E.ON

Vestas received an important order for 202 MW from the E.ON Climate&Renewables North America for a project aimed to be developed in the USA during the first half of 2012. Under the signed contract, the company will deliver services and maintain the wind power plant for a five-years period.
