Russian gas giant Gazprom said on Monday that it had delivered the first carbon-neutral liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Europe, shipping the fuel to Shell in the UK.

Crude oil prices extended gains on Monday, supported by renewed optimism over the outlook for global demand amid Covid-19 vaccine rollout. Hence, Brent crude rose by 1.4% to $63.30 a barrel and WTI oil ended 1.1% up at $60.14 a barrel.

Daily (09.02.2021): Oil prices ended at their highest levels since January 2020 amid supply cuts, stimulus optimism
Crude oil futures rallied to their highest levels since January 2020 amid Saudi Arabia’s extra supply cut from February, U.S. stimulus hopes and dollar weakness. Hence, Brent crude for April delivery soared by $1.22, or 2.1%, to close at $ 60.56 a barrel. U.S. WTI crude increased by $1.12, or 2%, to settle at $57.97 a barrel.

Daily (20.01.2021): Energy prices rebounded on Tuesday amid bullish sentiment on the market
Oil prices gained momentum on Tuesday in line with a weakening dollar, boosted by the prospect of further economic support in the United States. Hence, Brent crude for March delivery rose by $1.15, or 2.1%, to settle at $55.90 a barrel. Meanwhile, U.S. WTI crude settled 62 cents, or 1.18%, higher at $52.98 per barrel.
