Spain: Iberdrola will invest $5 billion in Mexico for a six-year period
Spanish utility Iberdrola intend to make an investment of minimum $5 billion (3.7 billion euros) in Mexico for a period of six years through 2018, as stated by Chairman Ignacio Sanchez Galan on Monday, since the country opens its traditionally enclosed energy market to private investment.

Spain: Iberdrola signed LNG contract estimated at $5.6 bln
Spanish power firm Iberdrola declared on Friday it had signed with Cheniere Energy Inc a liquefied natural gas (LNG) sale and acquisition deal estimated at $5.6 billion for a period of 20 years.

Spain on the point of endorsing new renewable energy rules
The Spanish cabinet might consent on Friday a decree that will reduce renewable energy subsidies as part of an obligation to diminish a 30 billion euro ($41 billion) power tariff deficit, developed during years of maintaining prices below regulated costs.
