EIB to back extension of Polish gas pipeline

The European Investment Bank (EIB) will lend 98 million euros (PLN 410 million) to the Polish gas transmission operator GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. for the extension of a gas pipeline in western Poland, from Lwowek to Odolanow.

Poland: agreement of $1.5 billion signed by Tauron for its new coal-fired unit

The No.2 utility Tauron in Poland inked a contract on Thursday with builders Rafako and Mostostal Warszawa to construct a hard coal-fired unit with a capacity of 910 megawatt at its Jaworzno plant, as stated by the companies.
