Crude oil prices settled down on Monday on news of the forthcoming restart of Britain’s Buzzard oil field and as Iraq wants to be exempted from OPEC production cuts as it needs more money to fight Islamic State militants. Brent, the international benchmark for crude, lost 32 cents, or 0.6 percent, to close at $51.46 a barrel. Its session low was $50.50. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude declined 33 cents, or 0.7 percent, to end at $50.52.

Crude oil prices ended down on Tuesday after a dollar increase offset optimism over planned OPEC output reduction before a report indicating another weekly decline in U.S. crude stocks pushed prices up toward four-month highs in the post-settlement trade. Brent crude lost 2 cents at $50.87 a barrel, after rising to $51.37 during the session, its highest level since June 10. U.S. WTI crude settled down 12 cents at $48.69, after hitting $49.13 earlier, the highest level since July 5.

Lewis Wind Power (LWP), a joint venture between engineering and construction group Amec Foster Wheeler and EDF Energy Renewables, on Wednesday acquired new wind farm acreage on Scotland's Isle of Lewis since it tries to sell production into the wider UK grid through a scheduled sub-sea cable.
