French energy major Total announced that it has signed a heads of agreement (HoA) with Oman’s Ministry of Oil and Gas (MOG) for the awarding of an exploration license on Block 12 with significant prospective gas resources to Total.

Lukoil has concluded Zhenis block's exploration and development in Kazakhstan
PJSC Lukoil, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and JSC NC KazMunayGas have concluded a contract for the exploration and development of hydrocarbons on the Zhenis block in the Kazakh Sector of the Caspian Sea. Zhenis Operating LLP (50/50 joint venture between Lukoil and KazMunayGas) will be operator of the project.

Bulgaria OKs transfer of 20% of offshore block exploration rights from Shell to Repsol
Bulgaria's government said on Wednesday it approved the transfer of 20% of the exploration rights on offshore Block 1-14 Khan Kubrat, in the country's sector of the Black Sea, to Repsol Bulgaria Khan Kubrat from Shell International Exploration and Development Italia.

Norway's Equinor aims to start oil exploration off Australia in 2020
Norway’s Equinor SA on Tuesday said it plans to explore for oil in deep waters off the coast of South Australia in late 2020 and released a draft environmental assessment for the project to head off community protests.
