Forecast of 7000 MW for Italian solar installed capacity by the end of June

Italian photovoltaic energy market had shown a rapid growth after introducing an incentives scheme for solar energy in 2007. According to an official at Italy’s state energy services agency GSE, this renewable sector may reach 7,000 MW by the end of June.

Italy to extend solar incentives until 31 August

EIB to finance small and medium renewable energy projects in Italy

The “renewable” agreement was signed between the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena (BMPS Italy) and makes part of the European Investment Bank objectives for sustaining European economy, as well a component of the agreement signed two years ago between EIB and the Italian Banking Association and Confindustria.
