U.S. crude oil futures increased on Friday as a sudden increase in U.S. jobs in January supported recent signs of improving economic growth and increased hopes for better oil demand going forward. NYMEX crude for March delivery traded at 97.84 dollars a barrel, up 1.48 dollars.

Daily – U.S. crude futures extend losses
U.S. crude oil futures continued to go down on Wednesday as an earlier government report indicated rising crude oil and gasoline stockpiles which pressured oil prices. NYMEX crude for March delivery settled at 97.63 dollars a barrel, losing 85 cents after a trading range between 97.43 and 99.49 dollars.

Daily – U.S. oil above 99 dollars a barrel
U.S. crude oil settled over 99 dollars a barrel on Monday sustained by the shutdown of oil output in South Sudan and worries the OPEC member Iran could soon stop its exports. NYMEX crude for March delivery traded one cents up at 99.57 dollars a barrel by 00:02 GMT.

Daily – oil up on EU deal to ban Iranian oil imports
U.S. and Brent crude oil futures increased on Monday as an agreement among EU states to forbid the imports of Iranian oil by July 1 prompted renewed threats by Iran to close the main Strait of Hormuz oil shipping artery. NYMEX crude for March delivery traded at 99.58 dollars a barrel, gaining 1.25 dollars after a trading range between 97.40 and 100.24 dollars. ICE Brent crude for March delivery traded at 110.58 dollars per barrel, up 72 cents after a trading range from 109.23 to 111.36 dollars.

Daily – gas prices down near 2012 lows
U.S. crude futures decreased on Thursday as lasting low demand and firm technical resistance countered optimism about the euro zone tackling its debt problems and a report indicating a drop in the U.S. crude stockpiles. NYMEX crude for February delivery traded at 100.39 dollars a barrel, losing 20 cents after a trading range from 100.07 and 102.06 dollars.
